Bioliquid engines use renewable liquid fuels made from sources, such as end-of-waste oils, fats, or greases. These fuels are commonly referred to as “bioliquids.”
Bioliquid engines are important because they offer several advantages over traditional fossil fuel-powered engines. They are a renewable energy source that reduces dependence on non-renewable fossil fuels. Secondly, they are a low-carbon alternative to traditional engines, as they produce significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions. This makes them an important tool in the fight against climate change.
The new 200kW SCANIA engine will ensure that the CHP unit will be delivering renewable power, energy security and onsite decarbonisation – this time on behalf of one of our long standing customers within His Majesty’s Prison Service.
